My ‘Weekly Roundup’ is where I share the books I have received in the past week, whether bought, gifted, borrowed etc.
I apologise for no Weekly Roundup last week, but I didn’t actually get any new books!

Bought
- The Left Hand of God by Paul Hoffman – this one has been on my ‘to read’ list for a while, and I spotted it in a charity shop and snapped it up for 50p.
Borrowed
- Dream-songs: A RRetrospective, Book Two by George R.R. Martin – more of Mr. Martin’s fabulous work, yes please. This is a collection of short stories; I read Book One last year.
How do you manage to find charity shops still selling books for under £1? Most of the charity shops near me seem to be more like amazon prices!
Well, there are four charity shops in my town and the majority sell for £1.50+. But there is one called Emmaus (which also happens to have the most choice) which always sells for 50p, 30p for teen fiction, £1 or so for literature, a little more for good history books. Then they often have sales where things are half price!I did wonder if it’s a shop exclusive to my county, but apparently not: http://www.emmaus.org.uk/
Brilliant! There isn’t one near enough to randomly pop by, but if I am visiting friends I can see the odd one near enough.
