Snapshots #1: Cats

I’m a bit of an amateur photographer. I studied photography at A Level, and it’s always been a hobby of mine. So I thought I’d share some of my snaps on the blog. I’m going to try and organise them by topic. All of the photos link to my Flickr account, in case you’re interested in viewing more.

Today’s theme is: cats.

Luna admiring herself.

Bea posing for the camera.

Luna lounging around.

A little camera shy.

She’s watching you…

  1. Amazing photos, all of them. Did you notice your own reflection grabbing the camera on the cat’s eyes at the last photo? 😉 Also, I’m not sure about that but your lense might need some cleaning…

    1. Thanks Antonis. No, I didn’t, haha! 😀

It probably does, but that dust was on Bea… she likes to go up the chimney and sit in weird places. But I guess that’s cats for you.

    1. I just managed to get lucky – Gem can’t keep still (which is why she isn’t on here, also when I do photograph her she’s pulling weird faces) and my camera hates focusing on Bea. Luna is probably the easiest to photograph 😛

  2. AMATEUR?! Rinn, these are gorgeous! I think my favorite one is the second one — Bea has really nice eyes, and I’ve always had a soft spot for black cats. Even though mine isn’t. 😛 Anyway, great pictures, and great feature! I was going to comment on your other new feature (Prose & Pixels, which is another AWESOME feature idea), but then I got distracted. Typical me. I’ll go comment now. xP

Can’t wait to see where else you take this!

    1. Haha, well I’ve never been paid to take photos! Although I’ve had a couple used in online travel guides and some other features, mostly of Munich.

Thanks Meg 😀 I’m pretty proud of that one of Bea, she just happened to be posing for it 😉 I’m hoping to pick a new theme every time, although some themes may get repeated, or sometimes I may use different locations instead.

    1. Thank you Odelia 😀 Yes, they really are. Even if they do bring in little ‘presents’ and leave them outside my bedroom door…

    1. She’s such a funny cat, I reckon she has season affective disorder. When it’s winter or raining, she’s a little wimp. When it’s summer, or a sunny day, she prances around and loves everyone, haha 🙂
